International Accounting Standards Board (IASB)  

1.  The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation have published a summary of conclusions from their
30-31 March 2011 meeting.

2.  The Trustees of the IFRS Foundation have published a report on IFRSs as the Global Standard: Setting a Strategy for the Foundation’s Second Decade with comments requested by 25 July 2011.

3.  The IASB calendar has been updated.


International Accounting Education Standards Board (IAESB)

1. The IAESB has proposed a revised standard on Assessment of Professional Competence (Press Release).  Comments are requested by 28 July 2011.


Professional Accountants in Business Committee (PAIB)

1.  The Professional Accountants in Business Committee of the IFAC has issued proposed international good practice guidance on Predictive Business Analytics: Forward-Looking Measures to Improve Business Performance (Press Release).  Comments are requested by 29 July 2011.

Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)

1.  The FASB has issued Accounting Standards Update 2011-03 to improve financial reporting of repurchase agreements. 

2.  The Action Alert, handout and video for the 27 April 2011 FASB meeting are now available.

3.  The videos from the FASB education sessions on Investment Properties, Insurance Contracts and Accounting for Financial Instruments are now available.

4. The FASB calendar has been updated.

5. The Current Technical Plan and Project Updates page has been updated. 

 
 
   
3. Canada
   

Accounting Standards Board (AcSB)  

1.  The AcSB has issued Exposure Draft 2011 Improvements to Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises with comments requested by 30 June 2011.

 
 
   
4. Europe
   

European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG

1.  The EFRAG has published its comment letter to the IASB Exposure Draft ED/2011/1 Offsetting of Financial Assets and Financial Liabilities (Press Release).

2.  The EFRAG and the Instituto de Contabilidad y Auditoria de Cuentas are inviting constituents to a 25 May 2011 outreach event in Madrid on the IASB’s projects on Revenue Recognition and Leases (Press Release).

3.  The EFRAG has published summaries of the IASB re-deliberations to date on the Revenue Recognition and Leases projects (Press Release).

4.  The EFRAG and the UK Accounting Standards Board are inviting constituents to a follow up event to their Discussion Paper Considering the Effects of Accounting Standards, to be hosted on 16 May 2011 in Brussels (Press Release).

5.  The EFRAG has announced its next Supervisory Board meeting will be held on 10 May 2011, with the agenda and registration now available.
