Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)

1.  The Financial Accounting Foundation Board of Trustees has issued a Request for Comment on its Plan to Establish the Private Company Standards Improvement Council.

2.  The FASB Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee recommends improvements on the financial reporting of not-for-profit organisations (Press Release).

3.  Registration for the 7 October 2011 FASB Education Session on Insurance Contracts is now available.

4.  The FASB calendar has been updated.

European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG)

1.  The EFRAG has issued a draft comment letter inviting input in response to the third batch of draft Q&As related to the IFRS for SMEs.

2.  The EFRAG has issued a draft comment letter inviting input on the IASB Exposure Draft Investment Entities.

3.  The EFRAG and the German Accounting Standards Board (DRSC) have invited the public to attend their 7 October 2011 joint outreach event in relation to the IASB post-convergence Agenda Consultation (Press Release).

4.  The agenda papers and registration for the 12 October 2011 Consultative Forum of Standard Setters (CFSS) and Technical Experts' Group (TEG) Meeting are now available.
