International Accounting Standards Board (IASB)

1.  The summary of 13-14 July 2011 IFRS Foundation Trustees' meeting is now available.

2.  The IASB has published a report presenting an analysis of the effects of IFRS 11 Joint Arrangements.

3.  The IASB chairman, Hans Hoogervorst, gave a speech in China on IASB priorities on 29 July 2011.

4.  Wayne Upton has been announced as the chair of the IFRS Interpretations Committee (Press Release).

5.  The Emerging Economies Group (EEG) of the IASB was established in Beijing on 26 July 2011 (Press Release).

Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)

1.  The Action Alert, minutes, handout and video from the 27 July 2011 FASB meeting on disclosures about an employer’s participation in a multiemployer plan are now available.

2.  The video is now available from the 3 August 2011 FASB Education Session on the topics of disclosure framework and codification technical corrections.

3.  The FASB calendar has been updated.

4.  The Current Technical Plan and Project Updates page has been updated.

Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)

1.  The GASB proposes major improvements for pension reporting  (Press Release).

2.  An article titled GASB Seeks Comments on Preliminary Views on Recognition and Measurement of Elements of Financial Statements is highlighted in the July 2011 issue of The GASB Report, the GASB’s monthly newsletter.

3.  The GASB's current projects agenda has been updated.

1.  The AcSB has issued an Exposure Draft that corresponds to the IASB’s June 2011 Exposure Draft Improvements to IFRSs.

European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG)

1.  The EFRAG announces that the next meeting of the EFRAG Planning & Resource Committee (EFRAG PRC) will take place on 4 August 2011.  Registration is now available.

2.  The EFRAG calendar has been updated.

European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA)

1.  The ESMA has published a statement on disclosures related to sovereign debt to be included in IFRS financial statements.
